FX Studios focuses on personal guest experiences and has historically focused on esthetics and ‘passive wellness.’ But we all know that looking good is only half the battle; feeling good is the other half. Thus, our natural evolution leads us to begin offering an ‘active wellness’ program, for we believe that looking after your health is a natural, if not obvious, extension for us. And so, with this in mind, we are delighted to offer Life FXects, a fitness studio guaranteeing the same quality and personal attention you get with every FX service. People want to be healthier, yet our country has never been in such bad collective shape. So we asked the most basic question: Why aren’t current diet and exercise regimes working?

For starters, working out and eating better just don’t rank high on the list of fun things to do. Just ask any fitness club how busy they are in January with New Year’s resolutions. But by May, people seemingly evaporate. Membership retention is the industry’s single greatest problem. Sadly, clubs spend as much time on membership sales as they do on taking care of their clients. They have to – it’s a tough business. Home equipment sales are way up, but most purchases end up as works of art to look at from time to time.

Bottom line, working out isn’t easy. Nobody wants to sweat. Eating well is not as simple as it sounds. It’s so much easier to just relax and work out “later”.

PERSONAL TRAINING
We offer personal training at the studio at FX. The studio allows you to get out of your home or office and step into your own private space that was inspired by FX’s novel approach to creating experiences. We eliminate typical large club distractions and focus on what is important…you!

Personal Training is not reserved for the wealthy - but simply those looking to be healthy. From the fitness-phobic to the marathon runner, our personal trainers will construct a tailored program that fits your needs.

We encourage you to invest in yourself. Our personal trainers are results-oriented professionals who know how to achieve the individual goals their clients are after. Train once a month or three times a week. It’s up to you. Life FXects is unique because you don’t have to be a member to train — your session covers use of the studio.

RESIDENTIAL TRAINING
A personal trainer will work with you in the privacy and comfort of your home or office. Our trainers will show up with everything needed to provide you with a complete full body workout. All programs begin with a free comprehensive postural assessment followed by a free 30 minute consultation.

STUDIO MEMBERSHIP
Only $80 per month! Our studio was designed with the individual in mind. It’s exclusive and intimate and exists solely to promote a
healthier you. If you want complete access to a South Beach cool or L.A. chic environment, then a membership at Life FXects is for you!

With the Life FXects studio membership, what you won’t find is the factory mentality of most health clubs and gyms. Our memberships are designed to offer you accessibility to our facility, our trainers and all of our amenities without losing you in the crowd. We are simply about comfortable privacy. At Life FXects, we are unique in that we require all new members to have a monthly one hour personal training session ($70) during each of their first three months. We believe adamantly in a serious trek through your
individualized program to ensure your safety, comfort,
confidence, results and the ever important variety essential to a great workout experience.

We are so certain that you will enjoy your experience that we do not insist on the typical 12-month contract most gyms or health clubs require of their members. We feel it is our job to keep you a member - not your job to stay a member.

Membership to the Studio is month-to-month and includes the following:
 
Complete personalized assessment with your trainer to track your progress with semi-monthly contact to answer any questions
Personal trainers who supervise members daily to ensure each session is effective and safe

GROUP TRAINING CLASSES

Standard 1 Hour Classes -
• Cardio Kickboxing:
Incorporates boxing and kickboxing drills and techniques with continuous movement to develop cardiovascular fitness, agility, strength, balance and power. This class is for all levels. It's sure to be a knockout!

• Strong Motion Circuit: An invigorating combination of cardio and strength training exercises in a fun, small group atmosphere.

Bosu Bonanza: Total body balance workout using a bosu ball, Dumbbells, bands, and upbeat music.  

• Navy SEAL Fit For Kids
Designed by a former Navy SEAL, this program will get kids up and moving. We focus on balance, agility, hand eye coordination, and having fun. Suitable for all kids age 8-16. Pre-Registration Required!

 

Standard 1/2 Hour Classes -
• Cardio Kickboxing: Currently, we offer Cardio Kickboxing in a condensed 30 minute version for those pressed for time.

• Bosu Express: A condensed 30 minute version of Bosu Bonanza for those short on time.

Premium Fitness Classes -
• Pilates  

A systematic practice of specific exercises designed to strengthen, lengthen and stabilize your core, coupled with focused breathing patterns. Mat classes offered to all levels. Classes are 1 hour in length.

• Private Yoga by Beth Malcolm  
Beth has been teaching Yoga for over 10 years. Her yoga background and focus is Ashtanga Yoga, Yin Yoga, Restorative and Thai. She is a Registered Yoga Teacher through the National Yoga Alliance. Classes are 1 hour in length and are open to all levels. Call or email to register. 

(Studio membership is not required to participate in any of our Group Training Classes. You can always just drop in for a class but please remember class sizes are limited.)

OTHER OFFERINGS

• Nutritional Counseling   $70 (60 min session)
Forget the crash diets. Learn how food affects your body. Our goal is to help you establish life long eating habits that work. One-on-one with our registered dietician or personal trainers.

New Beginnings Weight Loss Program   $90 week
A complete 10 week cardio, strength, nutrition, and flexibility training program. Guaranteed to motivate you to lose pounds and increase energy. Exercise within a small group of 2-4 people 3-5 days per week. (click for details)

• Sports Specific Training
Improve your game no matter what your sport. Designed to improve speed, skill, quickness, recovery, endurance, and prevention of injury. Programs are specific to your goals. Rates are concurrent with one-on-one personal training.

• Spinal Stabilization   $500
An integrated core stabilization training program designed to optimally recruit the muscles that stabilize the Lumbo-Pelvic-Hip Complex and develop optimal neuromuscular efficiency, reducing lower back pain or to keep it from returning. Requires a three week commitment working with a trainer 2-3 times per week for an hour.

ADVENTURE EXPERIENCES (Studio membership is not required to participate in our Adventure Experiences.)

Adventure experiences are designed to improve health through exciting journeys. Adventures include kayaking, hiking, rock climbing and mountain biking. It’s time to do something you often watch others do and wish you could do yourself! We plan every aspect, provide all the gear, give you a list of personal items needed, and simply allow you or your group to show up and have an adventure. Prices vary based on the adventure!

CHILDREN'S FITNESS EXPERIENCES (Studio membership is not required to participate in our Children's Fitness Experiences.)

Life FXects offers various children’s fitness programs designed to get them active and enjoy staying fit while having fun. Though we have specific group events, Life FXects can customize any of its offerings to fit your child’s needs. Programs are available in-home, at our studio or in the great outdoors.

Navy SEAL Fit For Kids

Neil Westford is a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), the American Council on Exercise (ACE), and the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA). He holds additional certifications as a Pilates Coach Reformer and as a Nutritional Counselor. Demian Costa, a former member of an elite U.S. Navy SEAL team, graduated SEAL training as “Honor Man”, an award given to the top performing individual in the class. As a SEAL, Demian was the lead physical fitness coordinator and program developer where he designed and implemented fitness programs for various Navy SEAL Teams. He is certified as a Special Operations Physical Fitness Leader as well as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM), and the National Strength Professionals Association (NSPA). Further, Demian trains clients for marathons, triathlons, adventure races, and long distance cycling.
